Call for Posters

During the 2nd Translational Research Meeting there is an opportunity to present your poster. You get the opportunity to present your work to all the key leaders in cardiovascular research. You also get the chance to win prizes of €1000, €500 and €250.

In order to participate please submit by the 1 June 2018 latest:

  • your poster in A0 Portrait size (84,1 x 118,9 cm) in PDF format
  • an abstract of your work of no more than 250 words
  • your CV
  • the commitment that you will be present during one of the sessions mentioned below to present your poster

Maximum 30 candidates will be invited to present their posters.

If you are invited you need to put up your poster Thursday morning 28 June 9:30 latest. You can send or deliver you paper poster to us and we will put it up for you. Your poster needs to be in the office of the Netherlands Heart Institute no later than Tuesday 26 June. Your posters needs to remain on the poster boards until the end of the congress.

Out of the 30 candidates, 10 will be invited for a moderated poster session during lunch on Friday 29 June (12:00-13:00). Out of those 10, a jury will select the three winners.

If you are not invited for the moderated poster session you will be invited to present your poster during lunch or drinks on Thursday 28 June (12:00 – 13:00 or 17:30-18:30)

 

Apply for a Fellowship

The Netherlands Heart Institute can facilitate up to 2 Fellowships of €45.000 each for one year. The fellowships will be awarded during the Translational Research Meeting.
You can apply for a shorter Fellowship in which case the amount is reduced proportionally. For example, for a 4 month Fellowship you can apply for up to €15.000. If there are applications for shorter Fellowships we may be able to award more than 2 Fellowships. However, quality is always leading.
With the Fellowships, the Netherlands Heart Institute aims to give talented young researchers the opportunity to go abroad for new knowledge and skills.

Keynote lecture by Walter Paulus

Walter Paulus, chair of the international scientific advisory board of the Netherlands Heart Institute, has been granted a Life Time Achievement Award by the Heart Failure Association of the ESC.

Prof. Paulus will be presented the award during the congress of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology in Vienna, 26-29 May 2018. During that congres Walter Paulus will give the Filip Poole Wilson Lecture.

We are honoured that Walter Paulus has agreed to present a key note lecture at the closing of our 2nd Translational Research Meeting on Friday afternoon 29 June 2018.

Welcome to the website of the 2nd Translational Research meeting of the Netherlands Heart Institute.

On 28 and 29 June 2018 we will bring togethers basic and clinical scientists to discuss all aspects of translational cardiovascular research. We have invited prominent national and international speakers.
